Vemulavada is famous as the seeat of a western Chalukya temple known as Sri rajeswaraswami Temple.There is big tank which is on the northern side of the rajeswara Temple.called Dharmagundam.This a famous and and ancient temple of 1000 years history.It is said that Vemulavada Bheemakavi who is a wellknown Telugu poet.That menas A.p language acquired all this talents due to the grace of the lord of this place.thousands of have darshan of the lord is celebrated.In this months of magha and palguna the stream of devotees become endless and reaches thousands.The kalyanotsavam of the Lord is celebrated on the temple is about 7 lakhs.It is about 130miles from hyderabead connected by road.

'Vemulawada Bheema Kavi'. . Before his birth all the village people visited Siva Temple, where his mother (Widow) requested lord to bless a son. Consequently he was born and very pious to Lord Siva. He was eliminated by the society , but obtained a boon from the lord and became very powerful. It used to occur whatever comes from his mouth.
ReplyDeleteOne day the village people conducted lunch in the siva temple premises with out inviting Bheema kavi. He got angry and uttered words as follow- " Annamu anta sunnamu, appalu annei Kappalu kavali". At once it happened and frogs made utter noises. Then people requested him and invited for lunch. Then only he reversed the situation. Singa-Bhoopaludu the king invited him and keeping his leg on a wooden stand challenged Bheema kavi whether he could make the wooden strut -a tree.! Then Bheema kavi read a poem..........
